Privacy Policy — Agenton Pocket

Agenton Pocket (the “App”, also known as agenton) is a client application that lets you connect to and control your own agenton daemon running on a computer you own. The App does not run any AI agent itself; it sends keystrokes and button taps to your daemon and displays the terminal output your daemon returns.

What the App does not collect

The App does not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. It contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, and it has no servers of its own. It does not access your contacts, photos, location, or health data.

Camera and microphone

The App uses the camera and microphone only for specific features you start, and only on your device:

• Camera — to scan a QR code that contains your daemon's address, so you don't have to type it. The camera runs only while the scanner is open; no photos or video are recorded, stored, or transmitted.
• Microphone — for the optional hold-to-talk button. Your speech is transcribed to text on your device (using Apple's on-device Speech framework); that text is then sent to your daemon just like anything you type. The audio itself is not recorded, stored, or sent anywhere.

Nothing derived from the camera or microphone is sent to the App's developer or to any third party — it goes only to the daemon address you configured.

Information stored on your device

To function, the App stores on your device (in your device's private app storage, not in the cloud) the following information you enter:

• The network address of your daemon (e.g. a Tailscale or LAN host and port).
• Recent commands you have run, so the App can show them as quick-start suggestions.
• Any custom button labels/keys you configure.

This information never leaves your device except when the App sends it to the daemon address you configured, over a connection you chose to make.

Network connections

The App opens network connections only to the daemon address you enter. It does not contact any server operated by the App's developer. If you connect over Tailscale, your traffic is encrypted and routed by Tailscale according to your Tailscale account; see Tailscale's own privacy policy for details. If you connect over a local network using a plain ws:// bridge, that traffic is not encrypted — use Tailscale or a secured network for sensitive work.

Crash data

If you opt in to Apple's built-in crash and performance reporting through TestFlight or iOS, Apple may collect standard crash logs under Apple's own privacy policy. The App's developer does not operate a separate crash-reporting service.

Children's privacy

The App is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

Your choices

You can delete all data the App stores at any time by deleting the App from your device, or by clearing the saved server settings inside the App. Because we do not collect your data on any server, there is nothing to request from us.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
